We are now well into Spring and the number of people on the streets is increasing. We feel like reconnecting with everyone, in a safe way of course, and doing things. Perhaps one of the things we miss the most is going to concerts and enjoying good music.
That’s why from Mediterranean Look we want to keep you up to date with the activities to do in Mallorca during this time and for the coming months.
One of the most important ones that has been taking place on the island for several years is undoubtedly the Mallorca Live Festival. Due to the Covid in its last edition it had to reinvent itself and yet it was still very successful. It started to be organised in 2016 and is held in summer in the municipality of Calvia, where the old Aquapark used to be. Tickets have just gone on sale and we recommend that you take a look at them because they are going to sell out quickly. This year we can highlight artists such as Amaral, Zahara and Fuel Fandango .
Another of the upcoming concerts and activities to do in Mallorca that we recommend is Mozart’s Requiem at Palma’s Teatro Principal. We are entering Holy Week and it is something very traditional. In the Gran Sala on the 3rd and 4th of April you can enjoy it with the Orquesta de Cambra de Mallorca. The Requiem K.626 by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart I don’t know if you know it but it has a lot of mystery. It was completed after Mozart’s death and it is not known by whom or who commissioned it, as it is a mass for the dead. You should go and see it and enjoy it very much, tickets are on sale now.
Top restaurants in Mallorca
After going to concerts, another activity to do in Mallorca is to enjoy a delicious dinner in good company. This time we would like to recommend a couple of restaurants. The first one is The Duke in Santa Catalina, exactly in Calle Soler 36. Since 2009 their chefs Ronny from Greece and Jorge Esteve from Valencia surprise with the richness of their dishes. Right now you can enjoy their terrace but take a look at the interior decoration which we love and is very surfing, as soon as they let us book to eat inside you can do it there as well. We are sure you will come back so no problem.
Another restaurant that we love and have just discovered is one that recently opened its doors. It’s called Los Jefes Tequila Bar and Kitchen and is located at Paseo del Portitxol 5. Its spacious and comfortable terrace overlooking the sea is a delight. You can enjoy authentic Mexican tacos with a margarita and watch the afternoon go by. The taste of their octopus tacos and especially the Pastor is delicious. We liked it so much that we repeated several times, it’s that addictive. Afterwards you can take a walk along the seashore and watch the sunset which is so beautiful in this part of the island.
As you can see we have made a good summary of some activities to do in Mallorca these days. Make the most of it and don’t let time go by, life shouldn’t be on pause because of everything that is happening to us.
